Our mission is to:

  • Improve access to care for patients with brain tumors.
  • To provide support to brain tumor patients & their families.
  • Find new & effective treatments for brain tumors through research.

Dr. Chirag Patil
Chirag Patil, M.D.
    

Chirag received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University where he studied neurobiology. He subsequently attended UCSF School Of Medicine as a Regent's scholar. While at UCSF, he received the Doris Duke Research Fellowship and developed several research projects including a meta-analysis of hypothermia therapy for head injury. During his residency at Stanford, Dr. Patil has developed a keen interest in brain and pituitary tumors, national outcomes analysis and clinical research design. He plans to finish a Masters Degree in Epidemiology at Stanford University with a focus on cancer epidemiology, trial design and outcomes analysis. Under the mentorship of Dr. Edward R. Laws Jr. and John R. Adler Jr., Dr. Patil is also conducting a randomized clinical trial that aspires to improve outcomes of patients with Acromegaly.

Research Interests:  Brain and pituitary tumors, Epidemiology of brain tumors, Design & implementation of randomized controlled trials, National & institutional neurosurgical outcomes analysis, Surgical anatomy and Stereotactic radiosurgery.
